Anyone else wait to join my league? PLEASE feel frer to as I have no password many thanks vince.
Hi good to see u in my league good luck vince.
Yes, team naming works on a first come, first served basis. No 2 teams can have the same name in one season, but teams can have the same name as a team from a previous season.
If you really want that name next season, I'm afraid the only thing you can do is get in there quickly. Sorry.
Ian
could you please explain why another player was allowed to use the team name which i used last year (Penelope Pitstop) ?
I'm working on it for next season. There's a lot of things that need to happen to make it possible, but fingers crossed...
You can already view league tables by race at this page: http://fantasyf1game.net/league/table_select
The link is 'League tables' in the left menu.
Ian :)
Sorry Keith, there is currently no way on this site to do that. If it is a private league, then the user must have been invited to join, so you should contact your other team managers to get his contact details. Alternatively, you could update the description on the league page with a message about the result.
Announcements for league managers is a good suggestion, but I'd be very concerned about the privacy implications and the potential for spammers.
Ian
You're welcome Max. Glad you like it. :)
Thank you Ian and very magnanimous of you :-) Whilst I have the opportunity I'd just like to say a very big thank you for organising and running the whole FF1 game. Kind Regards, Max Chat.
I agree with Max Chat. So I'm updating the results accordingly...
In the whole time I've been running this site (7 years), I don't think that has ever happened.
Ian
My pleasure, Allan. It's great to see plenty of people using all the features I've created.
Hi Simon,
That team has now been removed from your league.
Ian :)
I guess it is because they didn't set a time which qualified. I think you have to actually qualify to get the points.
No problem, I'll just use the other tool you provide to get race by race results and manually update my website page.
Thanks for all your hard work on this - it really has made my job of updating the website redundant!
Allan
Thanks!!
Hi Ian,
I have a league with some work colleagues which I originally left as public as they all joined quite slowly and have since made private - there's an "unknown" that's joined while it was public still, the league ID is 34755 and we would like the player nirvan team KUDEE WAKAKA removed of possible.
Hope that's ok,
Many Thanks,
Simon
I'm interested to see what you decide Ian. I can see both sides of this argument for sure, but i imagine it's a hard sell to award points to those that don't follow every detail of the sport and watched as both Williams cars failed to finish.
Whatever you decide you've got my full support. Still the best and only fantasy game I play. Keep it up!
-Curtis
Visit your 'My teams' page, then select the team you're interested in. Towards the bottom, there's a table titled 'Current League Positions'. Against the Main public league, the number is a click-able link that takes you straight to the page your team is on.
'My teams' page, under the 'Leagues' column, there should be a 'leave league' link. If not, let me know.
Ian :)
Sorry Allan, you'll have to do that bit yourself. With the way I store results currently, it would be very resource intensive to allow all those results to be pulled in one go.
I do hope to implement a REST api in the future, but that relies on me to upgrade most aspects of the site to make it happen. So it won't be in the near future.
That's a very good point. I'll look in to it.
How can I change drivers chasis race to race? Am I stuck for the whole season?
hi dont need a pin just press join league button then follow instructions
Thanks for the reply.
That's fair enough. Perhaps the rules should be made a bit clearer by reading:
Cars that do not complete 90% of the race will receive no race points.
Cars will receive 20 bonus points if both cars complete 90% of the race.
Engines that do not complete 90% of the race will receive no race points.
...Rather than just saying cars that "finish".
Drivers completing over 90% race distance are classified. This is an F1 rule, not specifically Ian's.
