Just let me know the league and the teams, then I'll remove them for you.
Ian :o)
I just want to thank the site authors for a great FF1 site which will make the season much more interesting for me.
I like the fact the choices are now set with no changes as I have little time to adminster the changes required in, for instance, a football league. My friends and I are now eagerly debating the decisions we have made and are already anticipating the next race.
I can't understand the number of people complaining about the cost of BMW against Mercedes given that Mercedes have 6 engines. If you feel that Mercedes have an unfair advantage then surely you should have picked them instead of BMW? I picked them based on this and am very happy with the results.
This site is free to join, despite the expense and hard work of the author(s) so please show a little appreciation. I do.
Thanks
Sorry I clicked the wrong button! Please remove my team (number 4171) from league number 8637. Thanks and apologies for any inconvenience.
I agree, I have been out of the F1 watching for a few years - have a family and busy weekends and only really get to watch the race.
I did a few hours reading before the season to familiarise myself with teams etc and made my choices and will stick by them.
Unfortunately I would lose out if I had to constantly look at my team every race and sell and buy back in as just not enough time along with my FT job.
FF1 - a good format for the more casual F1 person
I completely agree, Peshkatari. I wish I had read Joes's second thread before replying to his first. Unfortunately this person won't derive any fun from FF1, apparent from the nature of their posts.
Football generally takes the other direction (in the extreme) and it's too much hassle for me personally as an 'arm-chair' supporter to change my teams every week based on injuries, red & yellow card suspensions, etc. FF1 has found a good formula and it now promises to be an exciting season full of debate on the forum.
Game on, as FF1 says!
Joes -
don't be so ungrateful...it doesn't sound as if you have taken part in F1 leagues before.
If so, you'd know that this league is more advanced than others and although 'transfers' are not allowed, it does take into account Quali and other options not available in other leagues.
AND, it's free.
Thanks go to the organisers.
Grateful Richie
I agree that the rules are more like the real F1. I also like the fact that you can't change after the start.
Regarding engines choice, who knows who will be up and who will be down at the end. That's all part of the fun! It may not be a Mercedes but I would put my money on that being the best choice at the end based on the way things stand now.
Ian I am impressed with the relative simplicity of this F1 fantasy league. I think the numbers that have joined reflects this. Thanks.
ff1 you have a good system. I like the format and the scoring. The rules are all spelled out and people should read them before creating a team. I like the format because it's closer to how a real team operates, 2 drivers, a car and an engine. The adjustments made are technical and made by the real teams so I enjoy reading up on which teams have adapted to change more effectively throughout the years so I can select the components that I think will be more successful taking into account their price as well. This helps me get more familiar with the sport. Keep up the good work.
this blows. i wanted to update my team and there is no trading. How boring.
Sorry, I'd missed that request. I've now removed team CMP 3 from the league Superstars of Darts.
Ian :o)
spot on! cheers!
best of luck with the season, i think i'm gonna need it if drivers keep playing demo derby like today!
OK AlexCus, I hope I've done this right for you. I've changed the owner of team Copse Cowboys to be you. Please check 'My teams' to make sure that is what you wanted.

Team DJM95 has been removed from league venture37. Ian :o)
Joes, thank you for your comments. I know there have been other users in previous seasons who have also shared this opinion. I'm sure there are also others this season as well.
However, I have always wanted this game to be simple. The type of users it was set up for didn't want to spend time before each race working out the best strategy for that week. They wanted to choose a team at the beginning of the season and watch it as the season progresses. Those users still want that.
Fortunately for me, thousands of other users also like that format. It has helped this site grow from 100 teams in 2005 to over 7000 teams in 2009.
If you want to play a game that allows transfers every race, then I hate to say this, but this isn't the site for you. There are many other good fantasy formula 1 sites out there that work in that format and some of them even allow you to enter until the second or third race.
As for this site, it will be sticking with the same simple format that so many users enjoy. :o)
pls remove team DJM95 from venture37
thanks
get a grip! Its a game you muppet!
err no, i was told we were allowed multiple teams and so signed up again as i thought it was 1 team per account...
wtf is your problem?
Team CRM95 has been removed from league venture37. Ian :o)
Thanks Howard. Your continued support is very much appreciated.
Ian
pls remove team CRM95 from venture37
Thanks
/agree with curtis to be honest.
2 drivers, one car, 1 engine, just like real life, and alot better than alot of other fantasy leagues that give the option of picking a bundle of drivers and buying in and out as the season goes on.
Pre-season homework FTW. :)
from what i understand this site is a result of an evolved home-made fantasy league from the owners office. quite impressive when you step back and look at it. i think its great, simple and realistic. not to mention reasonable in overhead and work by the owner who obviously has a day job. oh, and it's FREE. perhaps you missed that part of the story, along with the FAQ's before the season began. I think you'll be fine though, stick with it, it's 2009 and after what we all just watched anything can happen. Ferrari didn't score any points after winning the 2008 manufacturer's championship. besides, you still benefit from "a real team gaining leverage on the competition." but you won't see Brawn GP swapping their car for a Renault and driver for Kimi.
enjoy!
You didn't read the rules properly so you thought you were only allowed one team in the league, so you decided to cheat and make another account and add that in the same league. Now you’re asking to merge them since you found out you can have multiple teams in that league, nice one..... Cheater
Your points should repesent money so the more you earn the better your team can be for the next race. and then it can be a bit more of a gamble for example Brawn may not do so well in Malaysia.
Hi Ian, this is the 2nd year I've hosted my work's F1 league - for $5 donation, its well worth it - taking all the hassle of working it out 4 myself! Thanks - Howard
