Renault to be thrown out?

This season is just getting easier and easier for you to organise this thing isn't it Ian(?) ?

If Renault/Piquet/Alonso are thrown out for race fixing have you thought what the deal is with points etc?

Purely as a suggestion I would say the following seems quite fair:

Chassis - all points lost if Renault are disqualified.

Engine - all points kept regardess - it was the race team not the engine department that was responsible, and they'll not be banned as it would leave Red Bull with no engines. You also wouldn't penalise Toyota engines people for Williams race fixing and you'd need a standard rule.

Piquet - assuming Renault are thrown out all points lost - he's been sacked and doesn't look like being hired by someone else so the FIA might not technically ban him. But if Renault are disqualified it's probably fair to say that he would have been had he still been driving.

Alonso - look to the FIA punishment. If Renault are thrown out and he's still racing (like LH and HK at McLaren after spygate) then they keep his points as he can't have been involved. If he's banned as well then they lose the points.
