3rd Driver.

Instead of selecting 2 drivers at the beginning of the season how about selecting a 3rd driver as well. If 1 of your drivers was under performing the manager could choose to drop him for the next race and select the 3rd driver instead. At present once the entries are closed at the start of the season thats it, players have nothing more to do other than catch up on the results as the season progresses. Adding this reserve driver option would add an extra challenge for players to make the best selection before each race. E.g a team under this proposal might consist of massa, webber and kubica. Before each race the manager would have to decide which 2 drivers to select.

What we always enjoyed about this race series was that when we choose the drivers we're stuck with them, this means that you don't have to have a massive amount of F1 knowledge to enjoy the game and makes it more amusing when the "so called" F1 experts get it wrong and are beaten by novices. This format has aided our little syndicate to grow in popularity because of it's simplicity, the hard work is done at the beginning of the season then we sit back and smile (or grimace).

Surely my plan would add more opportunities for the experts to be tripped up. Also its a bit boring choosing your line up and then its all done for the season. Also the more casual fan could still choose to remain with the two first choice drivers throughout the year, and in any case changing driver at some point in the season could just as easily result in failure as success which is why I think it would add interest to the competition.

I disagree, there are plenty other fantasy leagues that allow you to do what you suggest.
This one is different and it's what makes it stand out from the rest!
You would not believe the banter that goes on in our syndicate, admittedly we have some wind up merchants but we really enjoy it as it is thanks! :-)

No limits

Just remover the limits on the number of Pilots.

Or I buy Alonso and spend all my points on him. Or I buy 6 shittier Pilots.

The defining factor would be the number of points I have available for spending.

3rd Driver

I agree with having a thrid driver, but I think you should only be allowed to change your driver if the one of your racing seat drivers is replaced in real F1.
