Having trouble getting my team validated
Hey man, How are you?
I'm trying to get my team up and running, but I'm running into a couple problems. I had a team created, but I could not access it in the "my teams" section, it only showed up under "my account." I deleted that team, and created another (using the same drivers, cars, and engines, but under a different name) but this time, the site says that it is having trouble validating my team.
Also, when I had my first team up, I could not enter it into my league.
No rush, as long as it's in place by thursday or friday.

Sorry for all your problems. I'll try to resolve them for you ASAP.
I've had a look at your account and cannot see any problems. I can see that you created a team and then deleted it, but no more than that. I suspect it was a server error at the time you submitted your team, preventing all the right database tables being updated. I had another user who could not see his team in 'My teams', so I'd really like to find out why this happens.
In the meantime, to fix your current problem, can you please let me know the exact validation error message that is being presented to you when you try to create your team.

I have signed up the day before Ferrari launch the 2009 spec car, and we can't choose yet. Can we do it soon. Please?

The site will not be open for entries into the 2009 season until mid February. I need time to evaluate the new teams before I can set the prices. Some of the teams/drivers are not confirmed yet, which makes this difficult at the moment.
My aim is to give everyone a window of at least one month to create their teams. The first race is on the 29th of March, so it is a few weeks away yet.
Team creation
OK, signed up (first time user)... I try to create a team and get the message:
Access denied
You are not authorized to access this page.
Would appreciate friendlier errors or info on why I cannot create a team, more than access denied...
Ideally, would like to get this sorted for the start of the season, or are there any other decent free Fantasy F1 leagues online that work??

Team Creation...
Bare with it friend, this site is awesome, a few friends and I entered teams and leagues last year and could not fault a thing!!! It is free remember - and on the home page it does state that if you can only register at the moment, we are all waiting for the final season info and the longer we wait the more accurate our teams can be!!!

Hello!
I'm new in that game. I can't create a team. The screen returns the message that I have no authorisation to create the team. How I can create ?

From the FAQ page...
"The site is not currently open for new team creation. There is only a small window each year when users can create new teams. This is normally about one month, just before the start of the season. After that, the competition is under way and users can no longer create or edit teams."

In answer to TBONE - As Ian has already posted many times, the details aren't finalised yet so teams can not yet be created. All registered users will get an email when registration is open - alledgedly this is any day now.

sorry to labour the point but it looks like Bordais & Raikkonen have also been given driver points depite not finishing
Based on official results
The results on this site are based on the official FIA results as seen at Formula1.com. Both Bourdais and Raikkonen were awarded championship points for the race, so they are also awarded Fantasy Formula 1 points.

your comments are not in line with the rules which clearly state if the driver/engine does not finish the race no points are awarded - are the rules are not correct?.
Fair comment.
Maybe I need to review the wording of the rules. No points are awarded if the driver is 'not classified', which I had assumed was the same as 'did not finish', but it clearly is not.
Can we change the teams?

Can you include the functionality wherein after some races we can change the drivers and cars in our team? I think this will make the game more and more competitive and interesting!!
I am not sure if we already have this functionality. If it is the case can you provide the details about it?

i think you must review about changing the teams, and let more people join the game, it is a long way to wait for others that heard too late about the game, and this thing about making one team for the rest of the season it is not good, there is no competition, will be much better if we can change the teams every race, this will prove who are in touch with the formula 1 and who are not

But even the real teams don't change once the season starts. You make your decisions before the season starts and hope for the best. Things can change in an instant during each race. I understand it can get frustrating week after week if your team is not doing well but we are all learning for next year.

I agree with Otto here, I chose this website for our mini league simply because we didn't have to mess around with changing teams throughout the season, which to be honest, would have cut out a lot of our players since they know nothing about F1. So to make a bad descision week after week I am sure would be really demoralising, as it happens though, the rank amateurs we have are doing really well!
The simplicity of this Fantasy league is what won it over for us!

Hey... why do you block "competitors" (me) from forming a new team and joining in after the season has started?
In real F1, anyone (with WAY too much money) could join in part way. Of course there is no chance at winning the championship, but it would be nice to jump in and see what we can do! LET ME IN I WANNA PLAY!!!!!!!!!

Sorry Doug... I know you probably couldn't WIN the competition, but you could beat many other teams in the competition. This might upset a few people!!!
I understand your frustration, but you'll just have to wait until next season. If you really want to play now, why not just choose your team then keep track of the points yourself.
